Mayor Dave for Mayor Blog

Mayor Dave has served as Mayor of Madison since April, 2003. Before his election, he was the co-founder and first executive director of 1000 Friends of Wisconsin, a non-profit research and advocacy organization focusing on land use and transportation.

He also worked as Director of Government Relations for The Nature Conservancy and as a legislative aide for a number of years.

Dave was born in 1959 and raised in West Allis, Wisconsin. He is a graduate of UW-Madison. He lives in the Regent Neighborhood with his wife Dianne and his Shetland Sheep Dog, Calvin.
